Coverage ledger

The full denominator stays visible

All 93 counties and 528 Census incorporated-place records remain in the index: 147 legal cities and 381 villages. Ten municipalities cross county lines, so 539 county relationships are preserved instead of forcing each place into one county.

Election calendar

The verified 2026 filing and election path

The Secretary of State's official calendar supplies the primary, general election, and separate general-only village filing deadlines. A scheduled election date does not imply that CivicBallot has a complete candidate roster for every municipality.

Certification and results come next

The next passes recheck county candidate publications after certification, then collect official final or canvass-backed municipal results after November 3. Unofficial election-night rankings will not be promoted to outcomes.

Filing, certification, votes, and outcomes stay separate

Lancaster County supplies an unofficial 2026 filing list and an official final 2024 result report. CivicBallot preserves those different source statuses, excludes phone numbers, and never substitutes vote rank for a publisher-marked outcome.

Census geography, Nebraska certified population and statutes, the Secretary of State calendar, and Lancaster County publications anchor the release. Unreviewed county authorities remain labeled gaps.
